  10. For Parents (Pro parentibus) Traditional prayer for parents — for the living: health, long life, and perseverance; for the departed: eternal rest.
  11. For Country and Civil Authorities Traditional prayer for one's country — asks for wisdom for those who govern, justice for the magistrates, and peace for the people.
  12. For Peace (Da pacem, Domine) The ancient supplication Da pacem, Domine — sung at Vespers in times of war and public tribulation since the 9th century.
