Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy, Queen of heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart. We consecrate to you our very being and our whole life; all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To you may our bodies, our hearts, and our souls belong; to you may our homes, our families, and our country belong.

We wish that all that is in us and around us may belong to you, and share in the benefits of your maternal blessing. And so that this consecration may be truly efficacious and lasting, we renew today at your feet the promises of our Baptism and of our First Communion.

We pledge ourselves to profess courageously and in every circumstance the truths of the holy Faith, to live as true Catholics, fully obedient to all the directives of the Pope and of the bishops in communion with him. We pledge to keep the commandments of God and of the Church, especially the precept to keep holy the Lord’s Day; and to practise the consoling rites of Catholic liturgy, particularly Eucharistic Communion.

Lastly, we promise you, O glorious Virgin, tender Mother of the human race, to give wholeheartedly our service to the sacred cause of your kingdom on earth: to the spread of the Church, the conversion of sinners, and the salvation of the unbelievers.

O most beautiful Mother, grant that we may always live in your intimacy and in that of your divine Son. Grant that your glorious kingdom may be established in every Christian home, and that, after this life, we may reach the heavenly homeland to sing for ever the praises and blessings of the Most Holy Trinity. Amen.
